Bulk Carbon

Standard granular activated carbon (GAC) uses physical adsorption to eliminate various contaminants like chlorine.

In contrast, catalytic carbon includes a chemical catalyst that transforms challenging substances such as chloramines and hydrogen sulfide.

While GAC is suitable for improving overall taste and odor, catalytic carbon offers more precise and advanced removal of certain persistent chemicals.  Most systems use the Standard GAC carbon.
